I remember when I had a brutal conversation with Di Young, uh, when I was at WAS, he pulled me and I kept joking to Die Oh, one more year, one more year.

I was absolutely fucked.

My body was.

And he was like, Yeah, yeah.

And he pulls me in the office one day before training and he says, uh so we'd have we'd done a morning session, had lunch, we were going out for a bit of a

knock each other about in the afternoon, bit of defence and all this stuff, which I was never keen for.

Um, he pulled me into his office and he said, uh Goody, I just need to tell you something.

I was like, all right, yeah.

He said, um I'm not offering you a contract next year.

He said, Your body's knackered, blah, blah, blah.

And he looked me in the eye, he said, You're gonna hate me for two weeks.

He said, but hopefully at some point you realise that I've made this decision for the best it f best decision for the club.

And I did, I hated him for it because I was like, one more year I'll be fine.

Um and then he started thinking about it and he was dead right.
