So I think Silicon Valley is brilliant in some ways, but their understanding of macroeconomics is extremely limited.

And they've had trouble communicating the idea that AI is going to be a great productivity improver.

Which means a standard of living would go up in the US, not that somehow labor doesn't get used effectively in competitive markets.

It's unfortunate that the AI debate has gone in this direction because it's a great technology and you don't really don't want people saying

Hey, this might kill people, or this might destroy all these jobs.
