I I suppose like we have seen over the course of the production of this show and cast announcements of this show that like this issue around kind of you know, JK Rowling's sort of very extreme exclusionary views around the trans uh around around trans people has become kind of a lightning rod that pe it's it's almost a litmus test of people people are not able to escape that question.
They have to to answer it and they have to account for their own views and and sort of you know as
As we have seen in the past, like JK Rowling is not above then calling people out once she believes that they have sort of you know let her down or they have have not behaved in a way that she feels is is appropriate or haven't paid enough respect to her for the position that's anyway.

So Bell P so um Belle Pelley ha has uh come out said the trans community deserves safety and dignity and r and respect and total acceptance.

Well that that is the the trans community deserves she said that she strongly disagrees with J.K.

And you know, I suppose that that is putting it down to say, like, I am going to be involved in this project because I believe that she be obviously believes that you can separate the art from the artist and that you can separate your own views from the the views of of the person who's created it.
Um but she wants it to be known that sort of like her
Views on the trans community do not align with those of J.K.
Rowland, the creator of this entire universe, and someone who has used their creation of that universe in order to fund.
uh and to to promote the exclusion of trans people to the extent where now in the UK there is like massive amount of sort of logistical concerns going on because the new Supreme Court ruling that came in that sort of bars uh or or that insists that you must use the the the the single sex base um that aligns to your your your your your sex at birth has just come in with absolutely no guidance and it's been a complete shit show and no one knows what
they're doing and it's only going to lead lead to
Obviously trans people feeling unwelcome and unable to participate in society, but also many, many cis women uh finding themselves excluded and questioned and and uh and and harassed in public.
And I I watched a piece on the the news last night where uh Channel Four news the the the the the presenter was talking to the person the the the person who had like who was leading the the sort of this this new piece of legislation and was asking them, Well, what do you do if an individual actually walks?
walks into a bathroom and you think that that person doesn't align to the gender that ever, how how do you do that?
And there was no answer to this question.
