Yeah, I I think it probably is, apart from the player who's obviously talked about wanting to go to Real Madrid in the past.

So, you know, he's ended up with Manchester, which is not quite the same climate.

But no, I mean on a serious point, everybody's probably got what they wanted here.

Um City have obviously got their man in the end, Fernandez wanted out of Stanford Bridge, and Chelsea, I I think by getting that um British record equalling fee, the extra five million, I think they'll

Feel it's a bit of a win as well because of course they set the deadline on August the 14th for uh any interested parties to meet their terms.

Those

£120 million and they said that that had been communicated to every club that was interested at the end of May.

So they'd had all summer to do a deal at that price and everybody knew where they stood.

And of course that deadline came and went, but there was still a sort of feeling that this was going to happen eventually, that City would uh make a move after that deadline and before the real deadline, transfer deadline of of uh tonight.

And I think everybody uh has ended up being happy because City have offered a little bit more than that that hundred and twenty million.

So yeah, Fernandez gets his move.

Chelsea are I think are probably gonna sign a replacement in time, which is another factor in this whole saga, and Fernandez is finally out of London.

Well, I mean it i it was a bit of a slow burn at a at Chelsea, wasn't it?

I mean, uh they obviously finished that that very strongly under him, really, that season where they they qualified for the Champions League, they went on to win the club World Cup and before it all kind of unraveled where City uh well

I mean they did approach him.

I was trying to think of a way of caveating that, but they did approach him clearly in in uh sort of November, December time, and unsettled him in a way that he then obviously um left uh Chelsea and ended up taking over from Pep Guardiola.

Uh the I i i that early part of the season, I remember there was a game at Stamford Bridge where they played Arsenal um and they had a man sent off and they played 10 v11 for about an hour and they were brilliant.

And I and I've I've watched most

Of Arsenal's games last season, and I haven't seen many sides put them on the back foot like that 11v11, let alone 10 v11.

And you talk to people about that performance, and it and it comes back to this point of people talk about how good a coach Moresca is.
