And and I think this window just reflects a little bit of that with all these outgoings and and the loan fees that they've generated.

Well, uh you gotta look at this, I think, in the context of of the mistakes they've made in the past.

I mean, they have wasted a frightening amount of money um down the years uh w on their recruitment and I think they've made a conscious effort to try and recalibrate and and sort of you know, minimise those mistakes.

And you know, they're I think Lewis Hall is probably somebody who's quite a good example of this.

They're absolutely crying out for a left back.

I mean he

It's it's painfully obvious that you can't rely on Luke Shaw for the whole season, and you could argue that you might need to you might need an upgrade on Luke Shaw anyway.

Um and and Lewis Hall I think is is was the guy they wanted to try and sign.

Newcastle made it clear he wasn't going anywhere.

They sort of sniffed around one or two other um options.

Feels a long much longer time ago.

I was at Villa Park and I was told then that.

Ian Matson was somebody that they'd inquired for, and Villa had sort of batted that away, and they're talking about giving him a new deal now.

So they had looked around at some options, but they think they've just gone, actually, do we want a quick fix or do we want to overpay?

Or do we actually want to wait for our preferred target?

And it feels like that's maybe what they've done in two or three areas.

I mean, clearly last summer they they they brought in Cesco, Cunyur, and Umbremo and kind of sorted out the attack.

This year they've they've rebuilt.
