Excitement because this is the launch of a new era under Andoni Iriola.
And throughout preseason there's been lots of promising signs in terms of him putting his stamp on the squad.

So yeah, I think we've seen flashes of that in the friendly matches.
They haven't been able to sustain it for the full 90.
And at times they've looked vulnerable out of possession.

Probably part of that also has been the fact that they've had so many players coming back at different times after after the World Cup.
Certainly the sharpness and the fitness of Alexander Isak and Florian Wirts, two really expensive signings a year ago who weren't able to cover themselves in glory in their first season at the club.
They have looked so sharp, and that bodes well for the challenges ahead.
If Liverpool are gonna have a successful season, those two are gonna be absolutely pivotal.
You know, then you've had you know youngsters like Rio and Gamoa and Trey Yoni look ready to go to the next level.
Where the trepidation I think stems from is the fact that Liverpool just haven't done enough transfer business so far.
You know, you think they lost players of the caliber as Salah, Robertson, Kanate.
They've only brought in Jaque, Munoz, and Araujo on loan from Barcelona.
They haven't yet got their Salah replacement as those talks with PSG over Bradley Barcola, Rumble, on and on.
