You're going to have to like pin a banana skin under Russia just to remind you where food waste would sit.

Very good, yeah.

But one of the things I always thought was, yeah, but so much of that food waste must come from retail, from the operations.

You know, it's not coming from home.

But actually, when you get into the stats of that number, 58% of that food that's wasted comes from the household.

I guess the key to remember is that even when you're recycling food, you have still wasted all the resources to get it to you.

And so much of a product's impact...

is the bit we don't see before it gets to us.

So we should never feel good about wasting stuff.

You know, we should never think, oh, well, at least I'm recycling it because 90% of its impact happened before it even got into our house.

And having said all that, you should recycle it.

So if you do have food waste, do recycle it.

And we've said this before, but councils will save money from you recycling food.

And this has got more extreme than the last time we reported it because the gate fees of MRFs have changed and energy from waste and landfill is now up.

and anaerobic digestion has been falling.

So the gap between the two is huge.

So when you send something off for incineration, I think we said incineration land for about £120 a tonne.

When you send something off for anaerobic digestion, that's come down from £24 to about £13.

per tonne.

And so it is way better for local authorities if you recycle your food.
