Yeah, and so flexibles, they're so cheap to create that people don't then invest in the recycling.
So one route is we go down much heavier packaging, much higher carbon impact.
That's a big risk.
The alternative is we create newer materials like compostable packaging.
But compostable packaging, by definition, is single use.
The whole point of it is that it disappears at the end of its life.
And that's going to have a similar carbon profile in terms of its creation.
So what I like about flexibles is that they can be recycled.
They can go through a process to be turned into something.
That's what I like about it.
But I recognize that it is not economical to do that.
So what you have to do is you have to put that cost up front.
You have to say to people using it, you've chosen a packaging type that's a tenth of the cost of the alternative.
Therefore, we're going to charge you X up front to bring it into parity with the cost.
But all that additional cost that we're giving you is going to be put into the infrastructure at the end of its life.
We shouldn't be allowed, in my opinion, brands shouldn't be allowed to just choose the cheapest packaging that has this paradox of the cheaper it is, the less likely it's going to be recycled.
They should, through EPR, have a massive increase in cost to cover the waste management and end of life of that product.
