Secondly, regarding All-Star selections, is it not silly to omit the final, as suggested by some quarters, and pick pre-final, as the final is actually where the toughest challenge, both physically and mentally, should be? matched

Okay, before they're waiting on the finals, I'm sure it is a nice consequence for them that particularly you keep Crowe Park empty in August, and it means that you can put those high-profile concerts on. matched

And obviously we see some at Porky Queve, I think, over the next while as well. matched

I don't think it is a driving force, though. matched

Like, I think they were genuine when they decided that they wanted to move the club calendar into a very fixed period of time. matched

And I think that's the main reason they don't want to stretch it back. matched

Me, personally, I'm not sure if there couldn't be an accommodation to potentially move back to the last week of July. matched

I think in a weird way we lose the Bank Holiday weekend, which I actually think would be a great weekend to have won the two finals on. matched

I certainly wouldn't be against going back that week or two weeks, but I do appreciate for a lot of counties that have got dual on, actually getting the championships underway in July makes a huge difference to get them played. matched

But again, I'm open to debate on that, but I wouldn't want to move much further than that. matched

I think anyone who's saying, let's go back to first week in September and third week in September, forget about it. matched
