If everyone stops... The trap that countries are falling in, we're seeing a bit of this in China, that the savings rate gets so high, everybody stops spending because they expect things will be cheaper next month or next year or whatever it is. matched

the economic activity starts to drop off, investment starts to drop off, and you create a whole bunch of employment starts to drop off, and you create a whole bunch of other problems. matched

So deflation, okay for a little period, but you can enter what economists call this deflationary trap, and that is very hard to get out of. matched
