I found that there is salvation in suffering.

And I thank God for my body all the time.

I'm so thankful for this broken little body that I have because it's taught me so much.

I've gotten to know God in ways that people don't because I am quite literally forced to my knees to be humble.

Yeah.

I don't really have the choice to be prideful because if I want to be prideful, then I have to ignore

the people who would give me a sip of water, the people who put a shirt on my back, the people who, you know, you just lifted my wheelchair into this house.

Not easy, by the way, but you did it.

And if I was to be prideful to you and if I was to back up to you, I'd have to ignore that.

And I'd have to be ungrateful for you.

So I don't get to be prideful.

There's no room for that in my life.

It first started with reading the book of Job, which I think is very essential for anyone who is going through suffering.

We see there the theological idea that there's kind of this cosmic gamble going on between God and the devil.

And we realize that God permits suffering, but He doesn't cause it.

And He doesn't permit something unless it ultimately magnifies His glory and His kingdom.

And so,

That's why we see he allows suffering, because in the end, Job was a mouthpiece for God.

He was an instrument for God because he allows his suffering to be used

by something bigger than himself.
