Big story.
It takes over and consumes everybody and overwhelms the whole club.
And Mo Salah, to be fair, sits there on the bench.
It just feels awkward.
It's Mo Salah.
It's like putting Cristiano on the bench, which Ralph Rangnick did.
do you remember when Cristiano was on the bench all of a sudden it just became the whole thing about Cristiano so it's easy to play him so why are you saying you're shocked they've ripped each other's contract it's a great deal for everybody it works for everyone no I get that I'm not saying it isn't sweet for everyone that Liverpool can spend the money elsewhere on different players next season that Mo Salah can change his career I just feel that Mo Salah I would have thought with him wanting the two year deal I would have expected him to say no I'm going to hang in there probably and I'm going to
He must think it's gone really badly, is what I'm saying.
I'm not saying he shouldn't have done it.
He must have got to a really low point in his mind to think, I've got to get out of here.
This is a place he loves.
I'm not saying that he's wrong.
My point is...
For him to go from being so desperate to stay at Liverpool on a two-year deal, loving the city and the club like he does and the fans, to get to a point whereby he thinks, I've got to get out of here and leave this club now.
That is a massive shift.
But the two-year deal, Jill, I think for me was, to be fair, it was him, to be fair, I think asking for the club to believe in him.
I think it was more of a belief thing.
Why are you only giving me one year?
You don't believe in me.
You don't think I can go.
