The plus is, I suppose, that if you get to the end of the season and you announce it after the last game of the season, that Mo Salah doesn't get the send-off that he maybe wants or the clarity.

Sometimes people do want to control the decision-making.

I think players like that, if you think of the Ronaldo-Salah type, they like to control that.
