And you don't look back at it as fondly as I do with European nights, maybe with Liverpool and the enjoyment I had in

in my club career.

He should have took Peter Valencia instead of Phil.

Well, I think Rafa did a brilliant job.

I mean, those two managers I had, Gerard Hury and Rafa, I think are thought of very fondly, especially Rafa because of the Champions League win in 2005.

I think from outside of Liverpool, it's a case where you didn't win the league is thrown at those managers.

But at that time, especially in Rafa's time, it was really difficult to win the league.

I think it was the best United team they've ever had in 08-09.

I think the Chelsea team was brilliant at the time.

You had Arsene Wenger there as well.

So it was tough.

And...

We spent, but we certainly couldn't match Chelsea or Manchester United financially.

We just couldn't.

And to be honest, I think when Rafa left, I think we felt we had a great team and Torres, Alonso, Stevie was there.

We had a top manager who'd won La Liga, he'd won the UEFA Cup in Valencia, and he'd won the Champions League, so he was obviously top-notch quality.
