Well, I think the big worry is people wasting time and taking so long over substitutions, trying to kill time, trying to kill a game towards the end and that's obviously not going to be allowed to happen.
Now, it gives a manager more scope to change things tactically from, you know, he's got five changes to make, change his system, change obviously the
personnel really but also you've got to think about the players coming off I mean those players normally yes they're probably accepted right now and I get where Jamie's coming from in that maybe something that we'll see how it works now in these next few weeks and is it something that could come into the Premier League
in the next few years because I think managers want to keep as many players happy as possible but you're also thinking about the players coming off and there's five players coming off it's nearly half your team every week so you'll have a very busy Monday morning I think as a manager with people knocking on your door people why they weren't starting why they were getting brought off but no I think it's really sensible initiative now with what's going to happen as Jamie said there's going to be players picking up injuries that you wouldn't normally associate normally when you go back to pre-season
People pick up little things here and they're expected to be the same.
So I think big credit to, you know, the Premier League or UEFA, whoever has brought in this initiative.
But of course, we don't want to be abused and we don't want the game to slow down.
But from a tactical point of view, I think it will be interesting to see here what managers use and it gives them more scope to actually change formation and, you know, the setup within the game.
Graham, we're talking about obviously Pep just before you came on and that team being the greatest ever.
I think we'd all agree.
agree on that and what he created and whether the players talk about him.
But one of the interesting things for me is that that success continued with different managers in terms of Villanova coming in, Luis Enrique coming in as well.
Is the feeling in Barcelona this was Guardiola's time or this is Messi's time?
Who's seen as the
the main architect of the success that's come Barcelona's way in the last 10, 15 years.
I mean, I think the big disappointment...
Sorry, Jay.
Graham, you mentioned before about the points about Real Madrid game that the Barcelona players looked at and the semi-final.
And I agree, I felt those games were just, they were so big and it was that game where they had three games or three or four games in about two weeks.
And I think the big disappointment for us in England was that we never got that in the Premier League.
