simple and dumb to get that emotional over one goal but man it's the coolest thing in the world then when you've worked your entire life for it well and as he said with mirth right like he played that was I believe his 41st NHL game so he played 40 without scoring and you start to wonder like is it going to happen and especially as the season's winding down here you
you know, he didn't want to go into the summer with the zero still next to his name.
Right.
And time was running out to do it.
And so I think like part of it was the moment on the ice, but then hearing him talk after, like he was not trying to make any effort to pretend it didn't mean something right.
To like be too cool to celebrate.
He was like, no, that was awesome.
And I really wanted it.
And I appreciated that honesty.
I think he is, but like, there was no interest.
I think it's going to be fascinating to see how they use him next year, because as you said, right, they've got Booyahm, Bielander, DPD, probably, I mean, Mancini signed that two-year extension, right?
No, but at least he's going to get a shot.
No, I would think.
And then you add Kudryavsev in there as well.
And that's a lot of young defensemen to find minutes for.
