So the jet, the burgeoning Jet Wu trade tree lives as Jack Thompson remains property of the Vancouver Canucks, signing a one year two way deal.

And certainly you'd expect him to be a major feature in Abbotsford and who knows, maybe a call up option for the Canucks.

The Canucks hired Richard Seeley as an AGM for the NHL team, and he'll also act as GM of the Abbotsford Canucks.

Richard Seeley spent some time in the ECHL as a combo head coach and GM.

He's been the GM for the Ontario Reign.

for the past eight seasons wasn't an NHL AGM in that role, but he will be in Vancouver.

So really stepping into a very similar role that Ryan Johnson did for the Canucks until he was promoted.

And as is the case with a lot of the hires,

that the Canucks have made here.

In some ways, I'm very optimistic about this hire.

And first of all, I think one of the things we've seen from Ryan Johnson is he takes the hiring process very seriously.

He does his due diligence.

He likes to search.
