And I think going into a rebuild, starting a rebuild, in really uncharted territory for the NHL, in an era of rapid, rapid cap growth, I think having that ability to think outside the box, think creatively, and think really, really strategically about all of your moves and how they fit in, I think that's going to be very important.
Now, there's a lot of caveats here to my concerns about the Canucks front office.
And again, I want to keep these in perspective.

Again, there's a lot I really like about the front office group that the Canucks have assembled.
And even to my concerns, there's some important caveats.
First of all, they could easily hire more people, right?
Nothing is stopping them from hiring more members of the front office.
And that could be an AGM, that could be a VP, that could be some other sort of role.
This front office is not necessarily a finished product, and it is entirely possible that Rian Johnson is going to go out and make a really savvy ad that addresses exactly what I'm talking about.
So I want to keep that in mind.
Second, as I mentioned yesterday...
Ryan Johnson has really put an emphasis on empowering everyone in the organization and specifically everyone in the front office to bring what they can to the table and really be the best version of themselves.
And I wonder if part of Ryan Johnson's experience in the Rutherford-Alvine era was him looking around and saying, you know what, we've got a lot of people that can do more here.
Because we've heard, and this isn't a surprise, right, this happens a lot,
a team is losing as things are spiraling out of control that the group kind of got smaller and smaller and more Work was Jim Rutherford was taking it on his plate How much of it how much really was it a collaborative effort over the last especially couple of years?
