And I think we played well.

And that is uproar.

Because Gareth Southgate, as England manager, we said that we needed an elite level manager

to take us to the next level, to give us that elite level class as a manager.

And when he got the opportunity to do it, when he had the moment in his hands, he absolutely threw it away and made the decision that the whole nation asked him not to do.

No one wanted him to make that decision.

We would have gone out gracefully if we'd carried on attacking, carried on trying to do well, play well and go after them.

But no, we bottled it and we fell out in disgrace.

And that's what hurts the most.
