And there's no real negotiation in sight that
uh will change that and I think that a lot of the discussion and a lot of the analysis uh sort of fails to
come to grips to that with that because it's not new.
Uh but sometimes the truth is not that exciting.
It's
Boring.
The boring truth is that this war is stuck in a uh situation where Ukraine will not give up and Russia doesn't realise it can't win.
And until one of those two things changes, uh I don't think much is gonna happen.
And all of that is a way of saying that Europe is dangerous, more dangerous than it was uh a couple of years ago.
And meanwhile the
uh accounts about uh not just the president but the vice president asking all these questions about where the weapons are and where it has been it's clear that they've been depleting stocks from all of the European and Asian and other theaters uh to uh make it possible to operate in the Middle East.
And that means Europe is less safe.
Asia is less safe.
And we have Russia and China willing to threaten wars.
Whether that's in Ukraine uh a real war or a threatened war in Taiwan, and that's not a good way to have deterrence.
Um I think the midterms matter mostly as a sign of whether President Trump's policies are supported by the country.
President Trump, in this particular case, has made himself the center of the Republican platform.
But he's not on the ballot.
On the ballot are the Democratic s uh senators and Republican senators, the Democratic congressman and the Republican congressmen.
Right now, the Republicans control every lever of government.
