uh experiences i with Osama bin Laden and as in a way I became a kind of American spokesman because at the time it was a year into the Bush administration and I was uh you know the spokesman of the United States during Clinton. voice-verified

Um, you know, we saw the plane go through the the the floors, but we didn't know what was going to happen. voice-verified

And I remember it it uh was something that I was uh actually narrating to the world. voice-verified

Um and because they chose to keep me on for I I mean it would seem to me like half an hour, forty five minutes straight I was talking about bin Laden, about Al Qaeda and about the fact that this was an attack on the Western civilization and why this was significant and that it was innocent people and that they hadn't done anything and that whatever differences you may have with the US government or the West, this isn't the way to to to voice-verified

And I I continued to speak for the next, frankly, for many months after that, because the Bush administration didn't really have anyone in Europe. voice-verified
