Up or down, Trey, when it comes to your confidence in the Cavaliers with how they're playing right now and this run?
I'm up compared to early season.
I'm down overall.
I don't actually believe that the Cavs are going to be a threat in the playoffs, but we shall see.
They've looked better, though.
On the entire season, 13-16 against teams that are 500 or better, but in their last 11 games against 500 teams, they're 8-3, and that includes wins against the Spurs, the Suns, the Timberwolves, you know.
Like, they beat the Magic twice.
They are technically a 500 team.
I don't think it's all that impressive to beat the Magic at this point, though.
However...
The Cavs are 1-8 against the teams that are ahead of them in the Eastern Conference.
0-2 against Boston, 1-1 against Detroit, 0-2 against the Knicks, 0-3 against Toronto.
They're fourth in FanDuel odds to win the Eastern Conference behind Detroit, New York, and Boston.
And that seems about right to me, just because I've got massive questions about them in the playoffs.
Their depth, their health, their toughness.
Like, who is their actual number two option out there?
They've lost 4-1 in the second round the last two seasons in Cleveland
I mean, they destroyed the Heat last year, for sure, but they struggled against the Magic the year prior.
You can also throw in the fact that Donovan Mitchell has never made a conference finals despite playing for two number one seeds.
There are questions to be answered for the Cavs, but...
