I didn't think she had her best game like at all.

I think that we had a really, really poor performance in the midfield group.

I just think we're in a situation now with these midfielders where, yeah, the double pivot worked when you had Kim Little and Mariano because they're so similar.

It's not quite working between Georgia Stanway and Mariano.

And I don't exactly know yet why.

I don't actually think we have a big enough sample size to prove why.

But these midfielders right now, you've got three players in Russo, Mariano and Georgia Stanway who are all playing out of position.

And of course, like there is, there's going to be a teasing period.

I thought our first 20 minutes against Brighton were fantastic in the way that the midfield three, maybe now it's because they weren't attached to a role, Tim, they were moving very instinctually and, and it looked like we're playing good football.

Now it feels like they're no longer moving instinctually.

Like, do you feel that the girls are overcoached as the, as the instinctive players are kind of not playing instinctually anymore?

And I think that's a big part of it right now.

And Mariona is an instinctual footballer because of the fact that she's so creative on the ball and so creative in possession.

And we've kind of, I've always, well, at least I've always praised Renée Slagas' attitude.

talent to kind of give a player a role and say this is the role you play within the team and she did that with Chloe Kelly when she arrived she did that with Olivia Smith it feels like you know Kim Little and Mariona had that as well but I think that kind of constricts the footballer in in this player that we have and I think that what we're going to see in this season and I really hope Renee's gets like as she develops she's a young manager but

We need to be able to strike the balance of how much do you give a player a role, how much are they completely unsure of what they're doing, and also how do you allow these creative players to thrive?

And I think in the games we're losing, it's because that creativity is stifled because an opposition is doing a really good job at clogging those spaces.

So I don't think it's like the team relies on Marion.
