Like, there's something about, like, Alessia Russo kind of growing into the season that we love her for because she's always there when it matters.
Like, don't get me wrong.
She's always there when it matters.
But at the start of the season, there's always a little bit of a shake.
And, like, this is a forgivable –
miss in the context of the 1-0 win.
But I think we'd be probably saying other things had Brighton equalized later on in the game.
But yeah, I think this is just the killer instinct we're crying out for because this is a world-class player that is so, so talented and such a team player.
Her work rate is incredible.
The way she moves the ball is incredible.
Her hold-up play is amazing.
But it's just this kind of killer instinct when you see Bunny Shaw scoring two goals on match day one and Lauren James scoring from
from just making a goal from herself.
You're like, this is the player we need Russo to be.
But I do think the player is there and I think she will appear, but it's September.
So let's wait a couple of weeks because it won't happen anytime soon.
But yeah, there's a couple, there's a couple instances in this game team where in the first half, I was actually really excited.
Like just after the Lisa Baum goal goes in, I'm watching these players move the ball and I'm like, Oh, this is good.
