The Lebanese army is a crucial part of a U.S.-brokered plan to disarm Hezbollah and move into areas the militant group controls.

While the Lebanese government agreed to the ceasefire with Israel, Iran-backed Hezbollah has not.

The ceasefire stipulates that Hezbollah stop attacks, but it reserves Israel's right to continue its invasion of southern Lebanon.

On Saturday, Israel issued warnings to more villages in the south of planned attacks.
