Hi, thanks for having me.
I was not really surprised.
When I look at how we organized our education,
It's very much focused on individual achievement.
And even though we try to move students towards collaborative working, in the end, we force them to perform.
So it's not about melting with a group and finding a social vibe and connecting with others.
It's really about performing all the time.
There is the pressure point.
And so when I saw the statistics, I was not surprised.
Also, it was matching very much my experience in my own lecturing experiences.
So it came as a number that was very important because it could be used to energize the organization of education in a bit different way.
But no surprise there.
So that's a very good question, David.
And the answer to that would be, we have no idea.
Because those programs are often set up with good intentions, but they are not evidence-based often, right?
They come from the angle of we want to do something good for the students.
Maybe this could work.
And that's also the perspective you have to take when you read our paper.
We really were not satisfied with being able to say with high confidence what we do for the students really work.
We wanted to know better.
