But I've been up in Manchester talking to people who know him, including Rose Marley, who first met Burnham on the indie music scene and became one of his advisors.

She recalls her first impression.

And there have been rumors that he might lift a ban on new North Sea oil drilling permits.

He has not announced anything yet.

But President Trump has jumped on that.

Yesterday, Trump wrote on social media that people in Scotland's oil hub, Aberdeen, are dancing in the streets.

Now, there's no evidence of that.

But Trump also wrote that North Sea oil drilling would transform the U.K.

from a, quote, poverty-stricken disaster.
