And then to see him sort of come to his end, tied so closely to the Trump administration era and the belief many people have that CBS sort of acquiesced to pressure from...

sort of the administration and what they wanted from late night hosts.

They did not want criticism.

They wanted someone to kind of bend the knee and just keep to the laughs.

And also, you know, late night's been bleeding money.

So they wrapped it all up for him.

He's done now.

He's apparently going to go on and work on scripts in some capacity for Lord of the Rings.

Like he's working on something to do with Lord of the Rings because he's a Lord of the Rings mega fan.

I think he's read the series of books, I think upwards of like 50 times.

So he's going on to do some sort of consultant work and writing around the Lord of the Rings universe.

So I know that.

But another thing that also got a lot of attention that people loved was that only one night after he recorded his final episode of The Late Show on CBS, he made a surprise appearance hosting, quote, Only in Monroe, a show called Only in Monroe.

It's a community access show that's broadcast in southeast Michigan all along the shores of Lake Erie.

Now, he did this show back in 2015 sort of as a gag.

And when he did it back in 2015, he had Eminem come on because Eminem's, of course, from Detroit, is a Detroit native.

And so he decided to kind of go back and do this weird off-the-rails show.

And he had Michigan native Jack White, who was there.

And I think he grew up like 40 miles away from Monroe.
