Up to the third week of the United Football League's third season, the UFL announced Thursday it has an agreement in place to add a new franchise in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to begin play in 2028.

The UFL said there will be two expansion markets for the league introduced in the next two years.

The UFL, a business partner with Fox Sports.

The expansion team in Oklahoma City will play at a soccer venue under construction.

It holds around 10,000 seats for football.

The UFL hopes to expand to 16 teams by 2035, half the amount as in the NFL.

Currently, there are eight teams for the 2026 UFL season.
