They did make a big move.
They picked up Artemis Panarin, who is a
All-star player, probably one of the best players that this team has seen on their roster in the last many seasons.
And they only paid the price of Liam Greentree, which was a first round pick and a a high-end prospect for the Kings.
And a third round, right?
Like, so that is not consistent with the return you would normally see if it was a straight trade for Panarin and he didn't have that no move protection.
So they were able to at least pick up a a pretty major asset for a lower cost, and we we lauded them for doing so.
But I don't think that option to add another type of player like that for that low of a cost existed at least so far.
