Again, guys, go and read him at The Athletic. He's going to be covering this story. It's not over yet. And I think as expansion looms, Jared's probably going to be on that beat too. Thanks to Marcus Thompson for joining me in the first part of the show. That's going to do it for today. Thank you guys for listening. As always, this has been the NBA Daily. Thanks for waking up with us.

Yeah, he's he's one of the most complete wings we've seen at the high school level in a decade, at least like you have to look at guys like R.J. Barrett, Zion Williamson, Andrew Wiggins, all guys that when they went to college were pretty, pretty elite like that's. He's at that level and maybe even a little bit more skilled than those guys. And so he just went to BYU.

And this is the second year in a row that BYU has landed like an elite prospect, this time the number one guy in high school. And he kind of became the star of this NIL bidding war that really escalated NIL to a new level in the basketball sphere.

Yeah, I mean, let's start with the Sixers because it's been the Sixers are having is this like the worst season we've seen for a team and like the last five to 10 years as far as like the expectations. And it's not like with, you know, you could look at Memphis last year. where they just had massive injuries that kind of crushed them from the start.

This is like just guys in and out in a very uncomfortable, unstable way. The way that the franchise has managed the news dissemination of it and the way they're handling the public sphere has just been such a mess. And so it's created this anxiety around the people observing the team. And then you watch them play and they don't have an offense that makes sense to me.

I just they seem lost offensively. And, you know, Embiid has been in and out. Paul George is like kind of still there, but also having lots and lots of down games. And it's really been on Tyrese Maxey to carry the load. And he's good enough to do that for a few quarters. I just I just don't think Tyrese is at the point where you can really expect him to lead a team for four quarters.

And I mean, I don't think it's him. I think it's like you're basically asking him to score 40 points a game.
