It was for Drew Allen Kaplan catalogs.
uh let me see here take a look yeah these were i i submitted it to for everybody to take a look at but if of everybody you're the most likely to have to have seen these uh this was um like they were always fun reads they were saying they were a gadget catalog but they were disguising themselves as magazines it was very like detailed and and hypeful articles about you know wireless headphones and radar detectors and you know single speed caddy based cd-rom drives and so forth i
I don't think I ever bought anything from a deck catalog, but it, it, I mean like the marketing aspect worked.
It felt like you were being let in on something like, Oh yeah.
You know, they, nobody else knows about this product.
And this guy's really, really found it too.

If you remember, if your household bought anything from a catalog, you would just end up on all of the other mailing lists.
Yeah, that must be it.

So my mom would buy things from occasional catalogs, but then you'd just end up on everything.

The immediacy of e-commerce can't be beat and I'm grateful for all the flexibility and convenience, but like
I think this was true when I made my first online purchase, whatever it was, 29 years ago, and it's still true now.
Things in print, sales flyers, catalogs, it just feels more legitimate.
And I was really hoping, I could not find it.
