that probably would have been the window to try to get something done but uh it just it never really came together i think the health was one question but also you know as you know like the closer top pitchers get to free agency the more appealing free agency gets knowing how much money there is for top starters on an open market let alone guys who are at the top of the profession
Well, there's two ways they can go here.
They can trade Skubal.
try to get major league ready pitching in return, splat that into the rotation for Scooble's spot.
Obviously, nobody replaces Derek Scooble.
That's, you know, that requires a whole other conversation.
But, you know, somebody takes that rotation spot, and then you try to see if you can stay in contention for a wild card spot with, you know, the remaining part of the roster list.
The other route to go is that Scruple's trade becomes more of a larger scale sell-off because they do have quite a few other players who are on the cusp of free agency.
