I know from talking to Dodger people that those are good quality prospects.
Like, I don't think it is.
I think there are good pieces in the deal.
Where my mind goes is the global perspective.
And I don't disagree with Tarek Skubal's take yesterday at all.
I think Tarek's a really smart guy and an awesome competitor.
We've talked about him on the show before.
and how much I like narrating his games.
You know, Tarek said, any team in Major League Baseball could have traded for me, and that is true.
Like, there is quite a bit of prospect hoarding in our sport, and I totally understand why.
You're playing on thinner margins if you're other teams,
But any team could have ponied up and said, we want to counterbalance the Dodgers not wanting us to have him.
I think part of why the Dodgers went to go get Tarek Scouble is because they didn't want to face him.
That's not the only reason to make the transaction, but I do think that's a big part of it.
And I do agree with Tarek that any team could have gone and traded for Tarek Skubal.
And the other thing that he said that really does dovetail with my worldview is, like, he wants to be the best.
He wants to be on the best team.
He's going to fit in perfectly because that's what drives him.
And so, you know, I don't have as much sympathy for other teams because—
They could have overpaid.
