What we learned speaking of the Pacific Division.
The Flames missed the playoffs last year with 96 points.
This year, 96 points wins you the Pacific.
Yeah, and I would like to... I would like to...
Briefly relitigate the conversation we were having earlier about the Sharks and the Blackhawks and where they are in their respective rebuilds.
And maybe further accentuate how much of this year's San Jose Sharks record and playoff push was due to the fact they played in the Pacific Division.
It is an all-time bad division.
Like, I don't know when it's said and done because the playoffs do dictate it a little bit.
But when we look back and we talk about truly awful divisions in the history of singular NHL seasons, I mean, you had a Canucks team that was so far behind everybody else that every team in the division got to feast on them.
You had a Calgary team that got to, what, 76?
It was a massive division.
And the top teams are not great.
They're ahead of Chicago, I think, without question.
