So I was trying to figure out what the whole Torch thing was going to be.

And I was watching an interview with him yesterday.

And he was very candid about, I'm just here to stay out of the way.

And I'm going to let the guys do what they want to do.

The interview's over.

And I will say this.

it might not be the worst idea from John Tortorella to pick up on the fact that these guys were probably burnt out under the grinding nature of Bruce Cassidy.

It seemed they hated the last guy.

And normally I'm the guy they hate.

So good on torts for saying, Hey,

Maybe I, maybe I should take a step back from being the bad guy.

And he said it himself.

He said, when I feel like they need to kind of get back on track, I guide them back on track.

But he almost feels like he's an observer, like a caretaker manager.

Who knows what this stuff means?

And in this particular instance, it might work because you're not changing the systems anyway with seven games to go.

Like, they are what they are.

They played it for...

75-plus games or what have you.

So that'll be an interesting one to watch.
