Until they do that, it'll be hard not to wonder if staying in Vancouver was ever in the cards at all.
Perhaps this ownership group, people will say, just wants to cash out at the highest price they can get
even if it means moving them.
Now, EB told reporters before his meeting with Don Garber, he said, we want the Whitecaps to stay.
So the goal is to get that information from MLS, from the Whitecaps.
How do we get to that shared goal that I think we have?
And whether or not the province is able to meet that, we'll do our best to meet that and find a path forward.
It's a similar message to what Mayor Ken Sim put out there, where he said, listen, you know, like, politicians have a role in this, but...
You know, it was his opinion, even though he's not provincial government, that whitecaps need to just come to the table and say, this is what we need.
And I don't know if there's been a moving of the goalposts from the whitecaps.
And then again, there will be some people that say like, well, they're not going to give you that answer because they don't know that answer because their plan all along has been to move the team.
Whether that's fair or not, people will say that.
We are Vancouver.
We have been through things with teams that have relocated.
We have been lied to.
