I think you have to always draft the best player, but...
I really, truly believe that they're going to be the disruptors.
So Vancouver falling to three, they still might get their player because of the fact that I believe that San Jose is going to target a defenseman at number two.
And maybe they'll entertain trading back a spot or two and still believe they can get that player.
But I doubt it.
They don't need to because they've got 33 as well.
They might as well just start.
Pardon me, they don't have 33.
They have another pick here in the first round.
I don't have it in front of me.
But they got to run it out there and take the best right shot defense in my estimation.
Well, I think you have to approach it with much more of an open mind.
I don't think it makes it harder.
I think it just makes it more realistic in terms of it actually does you a favor in a weird sort of a way.
And let me preface that by saying this.
If you take a look at a Keaton Verhoff, who's 17 years old, and you take a look at what he did in Victoria in the WHL last year, and then based on what even you just summarized,
stated which is I believe that to be true I think that the WHL got stung a little harder than some other leagues with their star power going south of the border so having said that what does he look like after 21 tucks last year in Victoria before he goes to the NCAA what does that look like this year and then how do I compare that to some of the other high-end talent coming out of the west especially but certainly even in the Ontario Hockey League where a player like Chase Reed
who's a year older almost than Keaton, and he's a late bloomer.
But, hey, I'm giving him full credit.
He's persevered.
