Nobody was held accountable.

And less than 2% of Americans had to actually go off and fight the war.

So for me, it's important that we actually have these debates and Congress step up so that I have to go to a high school gymnasium.

I got to go to a Rotary Club.

I got to stand in front of my constituents in a war in Colorado and around this state.

And I got to explain specifically why working class folks should send their sons and daughters and their money to fight this war or any other war for that matter.

Well, you know, he's picked on the wrong person that much.

I know much like he picked on the wrong people when he tried to target me and Mark Kelly and Alyssa Slotkin.

Donald Trump, what he's all about is this theory that fear is contagious, right?

He can make examples of you and other people in hopes that, hey, if he can take on Don Lemon and get you to back off, then why should everybody else step up and put themselves out there?

But obviously, you're not going to back off.

And he's picked the wrong person once again.

well first of all there's nothing sensational about this right this is this is just true right you learn this in boot camp every commander teaches his or her soldiers this uh you know it is it is ingrained in service that you know your obligation is to uphold the rule of law and to follow the constitution you know we serve the constitution in the country we don't serve one man that is the ethos of military service and

I spent years training my soldiers on this, being trained on this myself.

Pete Hegseth even said it in 2016 in the video, follow the law.
