There was a psychological department within the medical center on the base that I lived down.

I knew something was going wrong and I knew something wasn't quite right because I'd lost my mojo for the job.

I was bored of it.

Then I was supposed to be getting ready to go on another tour of duty with a thing that I loved, absolutely loved, and it felt like a dark cloud in the distance.

I was like, fuck.

So I thought, I need to address this because I'm responsible for people.

You know, I'm supposed to be a ball of fire and, you know, encourage people to do stuff, debrief them.

We were going and doing cool shit.
