But then he has to play the older Odysseus trying to return home and, you know, facing all of these obstacles.
So he has to do a lot.
Anne Hathaway has his wife, Penelope, waiting for him to return to Ithaca and fending off a dozen, you know, dozens and dozens of these suitors saying she can't take a new husband until she finishes weaving this shroud.
And then one of those suitors, Robert Pattinson, remember from the Twilight movies, he's actually very hateable in this movie as one of her primary suitors.
But, Tony, it's interesting you mentioned the superhero.
It is one of my two – the casting is kind of one of my two critiques of it.
First critique, it is –
Well, it's non-linear, jumps around in time a lot, but the linear stuff we do see, it's kind of like a rock skipping across the pond.
It's like, all right, now we're at the Cyclops, and now we're at the Sirens, and on to the next one.
It's a lot in this epic, epic film.
But in terms of the superheroes that you mentioned, there's so many famous actors, even in the supporting roles, like, you know, in the margins of the screen, that it's almost jarring at first.
Like, we get Tom Holland, who's been Spider-Man, to your point, as their son, hearing stories about the mythic father waiting to return.
So he gets a lot of screen time, but there's barely any screen time for Zendaya.
Lupita Nyong'o is Helena Troi, and she's kind of barely in it, too.
Then you look over to your left, and it's Mia Goff.
You look to your right, it's Elliot Page.
And then Charlize Theron pops up as Calypso, Samantha Morton, Himesh Patel, Corey Hawkins, Jon Bernthal.
And John Leguizamo does get a lot of time as a blind, wise elder.
I love John.
