So I think you have to be really thoughtful how you put the staff together, having a combination of personalities and backgrounds.

Well, I can relate to what Matt's talking about because I was a backup for 14 years.

And, you know, first and foremost, I wanted to be a great teammate.

I wanted to be someone who supported the starting quarterback because, you know, when I was in college, I was very fortunate.

One of my best friends in the world is Brian Barron.

He's actually the president of the Cleveland Guardians now.

He was our backup quarterback and just an amazing friend and amazing support system for me.

And I just appreciated that so much.

And I tried to do that for my time in Dallas with Troy and Wade Wilson and Rodney Pete and the other guys, you know, for eight years.

And then certainly in New York with Kerry Collins and

in Tampa with Brad Johnson and whoever I was around.

So I just knew how important it was.

It's a hard job to be a starting quarterback in the NFL.

And the last thing you want is to go back into that quarterback room and have some guy who's kind of sniping you from behind.

I was all in.

I wanted so badly for our starting quarterbacks to play great and do whatever I could to help those guys.

That's not independent of saying I have aspirations, too, to be a starting quarterback.

The biggest thing for me was just be ready when your opportunity presents itself.
