There's a hell of a lot of great stuff going up there already.

The coaches up there are in good spaces.

Yeah.

But, yeah, there's some talent up there and some young fellas coming through.

So, yeah, it's exciting.

Yeah, no, it's always been there.

You know, the classic story of getting up in the middle of the night with the old man watching footy, you know, watching the games in South Africa and watching the All Blacks and football.

watching the Naki and watching the club team, you know, your satellites at the club.

What club team were you?

Tūkapa.

Oh, yeah.

I didn't, I left there and went to, went to Arua actually and, and Pāmi, but my early days, the old man used to coach the club team, you know, Plymouth and Tūkapa and,

You know, they'll go to footy, go in the club rooms, get some fish and chips on the way home.

And get up at three o'clock in the morning to watch the test, you know.

Those were the sorts of things that I remember.

So it's always been ingrained in me.

The old man was big in the footy and mum's sporty as well.
