It's expected.
And I think sometimes our familiarity with God can just breed so much contempt.
And the worst thing that God has ever been to any one of us is good.
That's the worst thing he's ever been.
And we take his goodness for granted.
And a lot of times we find ourselves in these situations where
um i prayed for it god did it okay now what's next god i need you to do the next thing instead of sitting in that moment and really saying god i appreciate you for this even if you don't do anything else you have done enough in my life most people won't say that because we're in a in a give me gospel not a god make me more like you gospel
Yeah.
Yeah.
The scripture I always like to think about is in Deuteronomy chapter eight.
God is, now we don't really talk about the Old Testament a lot anymore for some reason, but
God is giving these commands.
He's telling them this is what life is about to be like for you.
You're about to be blessed.
You're about to have more than you could have ever imagined.
And he is constantly saying, don't forget the Lord your God when you get these things.
So it shows us that humility, you remain humble by remembering on purpose.
When you remember on purpose and you make it a practice to remember what God did for you,
It's going to be hard to take credit for the things that God is doing because you'll say, I remember when this happened to me.
I remember this situation in my life.
