If I had to do a mock right now, and I will have one in the Washington Post on, I believe, Wednesday, I would slot him to Seattle at five.
I don't think he goes much later than that, if at all.
This is a draft that is bereft of what you would call blue-chip talent, the kind of potentially generational players at key positions that
that personnel guys would be banging the table for, like, we've got to find a way to get to that pick for that player.
If we don't get up into the top eight, the draft falls off a cliff, or we don't get into the top 12.
This year, depending on these quarterbacks there and what you think of them, there might be six to eight of those players, but in some years there's double digits.
It's also a weird draft overall because people still can't figure out exactly where the quarterbacks go, which if you're trying to do your homework and figure out where your sweet spots are and you're not in the quarterback market, then you're hoping as many of them go high as possible.
But as much as we talk all winter about them possibly going 1, 2, 3, 4, that very well may not be the case now.
Because Jalen Carter is one of those blue-chip guys in terms of his production, and you can dream on him being a game-wrecking D-tackle, and there's not a lot of edge players who people absolutely love, and there's no wide receivers.
And the corners, there is a good corner market, but I do think two of them will still go in the top ten.
So you just start looking at defensive players who could go in the top five and
he's in that group, and I think he looks to me like a Seattle Seahawk.

That's pretty much an accepted fact, certainly in the betting markets it is, and we've been telling it to Washington Post for the better part of two months that
since Carolina made that trade, that that's where that was headed.
