I think he needs to probably be in position to start games.

I mean, the Pirates need a reliever.

they have some guys at AAA they could call up here and have them take the ball.

Even like an Evan Sisk is probably just a more reliable first lefty out of the pen, somebody who can handle that situation a little bit more.

I'd maybe give Barco another look, but if it looks the way it did last night, and I don't think he pitched bad, but like,

he's just not experienced in that spot.

And if you have somebody like Ashcraft or Chandler who's making easy work out of that and then telling you that they can take on more, cool.

But if it's going the other direction and they're struggling, I'm not sure that's what you should be doing.

Like, the end goal needs to be Barco starting.

And what I'm seeing is it's probably more beneficial to start Barco in AAA and let him accumulate innings and have another reliever up here to cover innings.
