The way I look at it is Art Rooney has made it crystal clear they want to win, right?

So if Aaron Rodgers is out for three, four, five weeks, I want to still have an opportunity to stick somebody in there who's played.

like Mason Rudolph.

I mean, Will Howard could be that guy, but if you want to ensure being that 10-win playoff type of team, I want Mason Rudolph to be able to fill in over Will Howard at this point right now.

Maybe that proves to be different in September, but not right now.

So that's why I think that's valuable.

I don't think you want to go in with two backup quarterbacks with zero experience.

I just think that's a disaster waiting to happen for a team that wants to win.
