There's also that Irish exile thing where they've come back to an island they no longer live.

kind of recognise and realise in doing so that they too have changed, you know, that sort of thing.

Of course, yeah, yeah.

Having only moved back here last year, it was... Actually, I ran into, I literally sat next to Colm to Bean on a flight to LA once.

And we chatted about things.

We chatted about, you know, living away from Ireland and living in America and whatnot.

But the thing I noticed was that he sat there and he read a book

for 11 hours, it's a long flight, from start to finish without a nap, without, I think he had a meal, but very quickly.

He didn't check into the TV or the film, the entertainment thing, not once.

He just read it just from start, like cover to cover in 11 hours.

And so I'd always been sort of a big fan of his writing, but now I was a fan of his reading as well.

I'm like, what?

It changes everything, doesn't it?

It was A Girl is a Half-Formed Thing.

Yeah, well, I think, you know, Jaws the film is the ultimate summer blockbuster, but the novel itself is also a rollicking read.

And I read it as a child.

It's actually quite an adult book.

There's sex scenes and there's violence and a lot of gore, just like the film.

But it's great fun, you know.
