working on the side at night, right?
And I did this for about two years and it was in 2004.
It was the month of July.
And I remember having so much work lined up on the residential side in the evenings and weekends.
I was hiring six and seven people that I work with in the daytime to come work for me on the side for cash.
And I remember the month of July, I worked my tail off.
And after paying everybody, paying material, everything, I put about $21,000 in my pocket on the side the month of July.
And it kind of hit me.
I was like, man, if I can do this residential stuff, all these people know me.
in the commercial world that I work for every day, I think I can make a run at this.
At that time, I said, you know, my parents and stuff, I'm always of the three kids.
I'm the definitely the outgoing kid.
I'm the youngest, the baby.
And of course, my parents being conservative, like, oh, that's a that's a good idea, Jason.
You know, one of these days, you know, you can do that.
And then, boom, I just said, hey, let's go.
Let's start this thing.
And in August, basically, we started up, just made the move and took a couple of commercials.
Huge.
