During the war, he'd developed this jet-assisted takeoff technology, which was really a huge breakthrough for the U.S.,
He also was fascinated with the occult and was a student of Aleister Crowley, doing all these rituals in the desert.
And then the UFO phenomenon appears.
At least that's the way it's depicted in this Collins Elite book by Nick Redfern.
But the issue is the rituals in the desert happened in 1946.
The wave happened in 1947.
So I don't know that there's, a lot of people say space and time doesn't matter when it comes to stuff.
But frankly, if that's the case, then I can claim anything is correlated to anything.
So I actually think the argument put forward in Redfern's book about where this all began is a little bit dubious.
But just before I go deep, that the fundamental background here
The claim is Redfern met with people from the Air Force who claimed to be part of something called the Collins Elite, which is this group, which they claim started in the late 40s, pretty much as soon as the UFO phenomenon began to appear.
They claim they began to see all of these occult correlations.
And so this other program was set up.
This is another part of the onion.
which is now looking at the occult correlations.
Through the book, the claim is the occult correlations were absolutely there and that these things are biblical demons.
And that's what that group began to believe.
And then there's a load of stuff further on as you go in, but that's the basic idea.
So that was already happening in the 40s.
Well, I mean, the Collins elite definitely are emerging then in terms of what Redfern's accounts.
